The four-poster bed was lovely, but the first room was dark and damp.

stunning, stunning, stunning
I recently enjoyed a blissful stay in a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony. The breathtaking elevated location offered stunning views and an atmosphere of complete tranquility, perfect for unwinding. I adored the fresh, homemade vegan flapjack provided in the room, and the extensive breakfast choices left me completely satisfied!

The second room provided featured a beautiful four-poster bed and plenty of natural light, making for a much more enjoyable stay. Watching birds at the feeders from the garden added a nice touch to the ambiance.
Slightly cramped, some views were blocked by an overgrown rock face, given the hotel’s hillside placement. A lack of evening walking options for dinner forced us to drive every time we wanted to go out.

Things I wish I knew before I tried it
A hidden gem in a serene location! Perfectly placed for scenic walks like Tarn Hows just 20 minutes away, and close to Coniston and Windermere. The breakfast choices pleased even a non-vegetarian like me. Attentive staff added to the delightful stay. I wish I booked a longer visit.

the breakfast was a mere shadow of what i expected, with just a few veggie options. also, the sliding window in my room was an absolute nuisance, wouldn’t stay open. i wished for an upgrade or special treatment but felt like just another guest. i almost thought about giving a good review, but just couldn’t.

The extensive breakfast choices included delicious homemade vegan flapjacks that made mornings delightful.
The location was a bit misleading, as the guesthouse is closer to Hawkeshead than Ambleside, which could affect evening plans.

We initially got placed in a lower ground room that reeked of damp and was disappointingly dark, lacking any resemblance to the pictures online. The view from our first room was obstructed, looking onto an overgrown rock face, and the sliding window wouldn’t stay open. I also found the absence of clear WiFi instructions in the room to be an inconvenience, and as there isn't much within walking distance for evening outings, it forced us to drive everywhere for dinner.

i liked everything about yewfield vegetarian guesthouse. the grounds were lovely and peaceful, and there were stunning walks right from the front door. the breakfast was fantastic with loads of options, even for non-vegetarians. i enjoyed the bonus of being able to do our own washing, and the staff were super friendly and helpful, especially derek who accommodated my son last minute. the dinner was also the best i’ve had in ages!
the only thing was that my room didn't really have much of a garden view, just some overgrown areas outside. also, the WiFi instructions could be clearer.

I loved the cozy room with lovely bathroom facilities and the fantastic vegetarian breakfast options! Just wish I had a better view from my room's window, but everything else was perfect. Definitely going back!

The garden view from my room was more of a fire escape and an overgrown area, which was a letdown. the organic food options during breakfast were delightful and added a refreshing touch. The sliding window in my room had issues staying open, and the lack of clear WiFi instructions could be improved. Despite these concerns, the surrounding walking areas made up for some of the shortcomings.
